    The first appointment is all about getting to know you. Your provider will ask some questions about your medical and psychological history, including information about any medications you’re taking or mental health symptoms you’re experiencing, and why you are seeking psychiatric care. From there, they will make their recommendations for further treatment, including any prescription medications.
